The Truth

So if you know anything about me it would be that I love to learn about things that interest me. Also, most basic things a 16 or 17 year old would be interested in today is not what I'm interested in. More recently than ever I've begun to randomly just google ' Israel ' and then go to the news tab. Its incredible how many things happen in 12 hours in such a small country. Now on to the point of this blog post; The Truth.
Many people imagine the situation in Israel as radical Palestinians running and stabbing people while Israeli soldiers go through houses destroying them and killing people, seriously, that's what some of the kids at my high school actually think Israel is like, but fun fact: IT'S NOT. In Israel, most of the time Israelis and Palestinians get along, Jews and Muslims get along, most people here are very friendly towards one another ( Though there is a saying in Israel " There is no passive aggressive" ). I recently read a very short article about a specific Muslim man serving in the IDF. He is currently the highest ranking Muslim in the IDF. He pretty much says that the way he was raised was that Jews are his enemies, that's that. But when he grew up he joined the IDF, he learned that what he was taught was wrong. Jews and Muslims can get along quite easily. He actually went to the UK to speak on college campuses during Israel Apartheid Week, the annual "Anti-Israeli Occupation Fest". He was joined by a fellow Jewish soldier, "medic who has treated both soldiers and terrorists without distinction" which just shows how much people actually care. These two people are living proof that there can be peace. Israel can be a peaceful place, people just need to realize it, and that's ...

    2. In my heart I believe the majority of people in this world want to live together in peace with all humankind, taking care of - and not destroying each other or the eco- system. He gave us so many beautiful and wonderful things to enjoy -free of charge - the lakes, plants, flowers , animals, people, rain ,etc.that should be cherished , not broken. Unfortunately some people are greedy, don't know what love is and turn away from God. If they only knew how wonderful life could be, they'd chose love over hate.
